" Eric at Vision A Studio has provided an excellent service in pursuance of attaining planning permission for a large extension of our property.
Scope: This has included the design from the brief provided, production of the plans, elevations and visuals. He also prepared the pre-planning documentation and attended the pre-planning meeting with the local planning officer. Then, prepared the actual planning application and has been keenly monitoring its progress.
Advice: Eric has provided very useful advice throughout the project. His recommendations not only increased the usable space inside the extension, but also helped to ensure that the planning application encountered minimal query (by ensuring that the design was within local planning guidelines).
Design: Eric’s design actually exceeded the expectations of the brief. Some of the flourishes and cosmetic elements were very innovative. These impressed the planning officer and pleased our neighbours (not to mention making the property more attractive in our eyes!).
The planning officer also commented that the level of detail that Eric had included in the plans and drawings was unusually high, and made the process of considering the proposal much easier.
Costs: The proposed project/extension was very large for a private domestic property and so 5 architectural practices were invited to consider and cost the project. Vision A Studio’s cost proposal was the most competitive. Also, we knew that rather than handing it over to a junior technician, Eric would personally be conducting the work so that we could be certain that we were getting best value.
